Watch the movie on the Big Screen while the Allentown Band performs the soundtrack of beloved music from the time period! Re-mastered in high definition, this 1926 silent comedy film was inspired by a true story of an event that occurred during the American Civil War. No silent moviemaker ever engaged with the machinery of modern life as resourcefully as Buster Keaton. Hailed a masterpiece, The General is admirably faithful to authenticity in costumes and props. Filmed in Cottage Grove, Oregon, local citizens were recruited as extras and 500 members from the Oregon National Guard were outfitted in Confederate gray or Union blue for the battle scenes.

Celebrate Halloween at Miller Symphony Hall! Watch the movie on the big screen while the Allentown Band performs the soundtrack featuring an original new music score by composer, Stephen Reisteter. Universally recognized as one of the greatest horror movies ever made and re-mastered in high definition, this 1922 German silent film is timelessly sinister. It’s a faithful adaptation of Bram Stoker's story and brings images to the screen, the likes of which had never before been seen, and likely the 1st screen appearance for what is now the most famous vampire, Count Orlok.
